Will b12 shots for weight loss help you to lose fat? The answer is no.
What is b12 and what does it do?
B12 is part of the Vitamin B complex. Many weight loss clinics are promoting b12 shots, saying that the vitamin b will give you more energy and therefore increase your metabolism… which in turn will help you burn more calories per day.
Does it Work?
Sorry folks. It doesn’t work this way. B12 will not increase your metabolism unless you have a vitamin B deficiency. And if you do have a vitamin B deficiency, you should be having a multivitamin every day, not a shot of b12.
So What Should I Do Now?
First off, give up all hope of finding a miracle injection that will help you shed pounds while doing nothing and eating all you want.
Second, if you are worried about vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies, have a multivitamin each day. I have one, and so does my husband. Try something like Centrum A-Z. My hubby and I have one made by an Aussie brand called Blackmores. It doesn’t matter what brand you use as long as it’s a reputable one.
Third, eat a healthy, low calorie diet.
Fourth – start working out!
