b12 Injections For Weight Loss: Do Weight Loss Shots Work?

b12 injectionsDon’t do it. Really.

People are going nuts for whatever shortcut they can find on their route to weight loss. I will say this again and again till my fingers hurt from all this typing.

There are no shortcuts to weight loss. There is only determination and success or failure.

You can go for the magic pills and the injections and all those fancy massages all you like. But the best solution for someone who wants to lose weight and shape up is to just go on a healthy, low calorie diet and get themselves into gear working out.

Many weight loss clinics are now offering b12 injections for weight loss, claiming that people who take these shots see dramatic results. Ugh, really?

How do b12 injections for weight loss even work?

B12 is part of the vitamin B complex.
People who are preaching the benefits of b12 shots say that vitamin B gives you more energy and therefore increases your metabolism, which in turn helps you to burn more fat during the day.

Is that really what b12 does?

Well… kind of. Vitamin B will give you more energy and increase your metabolism. But only if you already have a vitamin B deficiency!

How do these Shots Help?

Well, if you do have a Vitamin B deficiency, you can take vitamin tablets. They’re absorbed quickly and if you have one capsule every day, you should be fine.
Honestly, I don’t see how these shots work. They are a marketing gimmick. They will not help you to lose weight.

So what do you recommend that I do?

I recommend that everyone have a multivitamin and a fish oil tablet every day. That’s what I do, and that’s what my husband does. Fish oil will help you to recover after a workout and a multivitamin will ensure that you’re getting all your needed minerals and vitamins. A multivitamin contains vitamin B as well, so you’re getting that b12 right in there.

The final thoughts…

Look, there are no miracle solutions.
Yes, an injection that will miraculously help you to lose weight sounds tempting doesn’t it? Too bad it doesn’t work. There is no scientific proof or reason for it to work and it is just a waste of money.
If you really want to lose weight, you need to get serious. Not get a shot of b12.
