Ok, since I’m currently using Visual Impact For Women as my workout routine, I might also do a quick review of Visual Impact Muscle Building – this is the men’s version of the program, created by the same guy Rusty Moore.
Before I go any further, I want to tell you why I like Rusty so much. He’s been a fitness writer for the last 12 years – over at his hugely popular blog, you can find more information for free than most writers and trainers charge for. I learnt a lot from his blog when I first started losing weight, and I owe him big time for setting my on the right track to healthy and real fitness.
But enough of my blabbering, let me jump straight into…
What Is Visual Impact Muscle Building And Who Is It For?
Visual Impact Muscle Building is a men’s fitness product – it’s for guys who want that sexy “Hollywood” look, as opposed to the bulked-up, bloated bodybuilder look.
This is the only program of its kind.
Most men’s fitness products focus on creating a “big” body, and as a woman, let me tell you that I find a footballer, actor or model much more attractive than a bodybuilder any day! Trust me, most women feel this way. Large, bloated muscles are a turn-off – we’d rather be with a strong, lean guy anyday.
This is a rather controversial thing to say and Rusty has gotten a lot of flack from bodybuilders. However, it’s the truth – if one of the reasons you’re being fit is to be more attractive, then just ask your wife/girlfriend who she’d rather be with, a bodybuilder or a guy with a footballer’s body (like Beckham or Ronaldino). I can pretty much guarantee what the answer will be
If you’re still set on bulking up and getting big, this program isn’t for you. Instead, you should look to use something like the Adonis Effect.
How Does Visual Impact Work?
I’m not a guy, but I’ve read through the program and had a close friend (who’s on Phase II of the program) explain it to me as well.
In Phase I of the program, you’ll bulk up your muscles a bit. Phase II is the transition phase. In Phase III, you will be reducing your body fat, and getting denser muscles to create the “shrink wrap” effect that those footballers have.
The program focuses on helping you get defined muscles even at the beach. You probably already know that your muscles look more defined at the gym when you’re working out, but when you’re at rest, they don’t look so good. Well, this program has the cure for that.
Is Visual Impact For You?
Visual Impact Muscle Building is not for everyone.
As I’ve mentioned before, it’s not for guys who want a bodybuilder’s body – the Adonis Effect is better for that.
It’s also not for guys who are very overweight. You could be a max of 15 – 20 pounds over your target weight when you start out with this program, but if you’re any heavier than that, you should focus on getting rid of the fat first. You can use a combo of Eat Stop Eat and Anything Goes diet programs, coupled with Turbulence Training workouts, in order to slim down fast. Once you’re nearer your target weight, you can start with this program.
A lot of my favorite (male!) fitness bloggers use this program with great results. They suggest that if a guy’s a couple of pounds over his target weight, he start off with Phase III (reducing body fat) and then do Phase I, II and III. This way you can cut fat and build your muscles at the same time.
Finally, you have to be serious about being a fit and attractive guy if you’re going to do this program. It’s a couple of months long and you can repeat it if you like. It will take you some time in the gym – total workout time being around an hour (both weights and cardio) a couple of times a week. If you don’t have that much time, you’re better off with a program that’s geared towards being quick, like Turbulence Training.
Does Visual Impact Muscle Building Work?
Yes, it does.
I follow a number of fitness bloggers – even though they’re guys, they’re very inspiring. This video shows a former “skinny twerp”s results:
